Freezemachine is a heavy alternative rock band from Long Beach, California, spearheaded by frontman Jordan Schmidt. Drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Deftones, Spiritbox, Jimmy Eat World, Nirvana, Architects, My Bloody Valentine, and Slowdive, Freezemachine's distinctive sound is a fusion of Nu Metal, Post-Punk and Shoegaze full of eccentric beats that often go against traditional rock styles, while at the same time being an immersive experience of melodic, yet heavy tones.

To better bring the music to life, Freezemachine enlisted the expertise and help of Drew Kapner, a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum engineer, writer and producer known for his work with Twenty One Pilots and At The Drive-In. The final mastering received the expert touch and support from Mike Bozzi, a Grammy Award-winning Mastering Engineer with credits including Linkin Park and Kendrick Lamar, as a result ensuring that Freezemachine's tracks resonate with both raw power and polished precision.

The band's debut single “Thought You Knew“ showcases their ability to blend aggression with a catchy melodic sensibility. It has a “disco metal” groove and a massive, pummeling chorus that’s sure to be frozen into your skull. During the initial release, the track landed placements on major Spotify playlists, including Modern Rock Mosaic and Let's Rock, while the official video is a favorite on MTV's Metal Thrashing Madness, with consistent airtime alongside bands like Knocked Loose, Linkin Park, and Turnstile.
